Hi, I'm Louie Santaguida. Welcome to my profile!

Louie Santaguida's Bio:

Luigi (Louie) Santaguida is a Canadian real estate developer and entrepreneur who is committed in revitalizing neighborhoods in the Toronto, Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and southern Ontario areas. Louie is the founder and President of Stanton Renaissance, a real estate development company that is currently spearheading the development of several new condominium and mixed-used projects, including the Connolly, the JunXion Condominiums and On The Go Mimico.   Louie grew up in the Etobicoke area of Toronto and graduated with honors from Thistletown Collegiate in 1982.  From there, Louie attended the School of Laboratory Sciences at Ryerson Polytechnic Institute.  He earned a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the school in 1987. Revitalizing and transforming communities has played a major role throughout Louie Santaguida’s career.   As a founding partner of Delsan Environmental Group, Louie gained deep experience in demolition, environmental remediation and proper management of hazardous materials.   In 2002, Louie used this experience to form a new environmental remediation company, one that provided complete solutions for project demolition, groundwater remediation, excavation, and proper management of hazardous materials. Louie used the knowledge and experience gained at these companies to form Stanton Renaissance, an organization that now forms the bulk of his focus as a developer.  As President of Stanton Renaissance, Louie is intent on transforming communities through revitalizing forgotten, dysfunctional and underutilized properties.   In addition to this goal, Louie and his Stanton Renaissance team look forward to leading the way in bringing the latest in sustainable technology to condominium living.  This is one reason why Stanton Renaissance’s developments will be equipped with green elements like geothermal heating and cooling.   Outside of his real estate development career, Louie has been a consistent contributor to charitable and philanthropic causes.  In 2008, Louie earned the Scotiabank ICCT Environmental Leadership Award for his efforts in creating clean, environmentally friendly developments.  In 2009, Louie was given “The Keeping the Promise Award” for his work with the Covenant House. Louie also participated in the 4 Deserts Challenge, a world-famous charitable event that offered him the rare opportunity to race in the Gobi March in Asia, the Atacama Crossing in Chile, the Sahara Desert in Egypt, and the Last Desert in Antarctica. Louie was the 5th Canadian and 128th in the world to complete this challenge. Louie has been a member of the board for the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation.  He has also served on the boards of Villa Charities and of the System for Electronic Disclosure by Insiders (SEDI).   Louie is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) and the World President’s Organization (WPO), and is a member of BILD.
